ALTERNATIVE ROCK SONGS a la Weezer, Plain White T’s, The Killers, The Strokes, etc. are being sought for a new TV series by a well-connected Music Consultant with many film/TV/commercial placements. The owner of the company needs contemporary songs that appeal to a young audience. Upbeat and light Alternative Rock songs are preferred, nothing too heavy. Male vocals ONLY please, and make sure that lyrics are clean (no profanity). Overall, compositions must be free and clear - no samples that require clearance and no other publishers that would need to grant permission for usage. The owner of the company will be screening all submissions. Please submit one to three songs online or per CD, include lyrics. Like the vocal and the song has a quirky-ness to it that I enjoy but the arrangement is so 60's retro that it loses its alt rock edge.
